Express Colour Treatments for Your Salon

Offer services of 30 minutes or less to your clients

With current changes afoot across the country, having to close or reduce contact with your clients may leave you unsure how to sustain sales throughout this period.

Currently, whilst your clients may be dreading the thought of not being able to have their complete service in salon, we've got a few tips and tricks from the Haircare Group Tech Team on how you can maximise your time and leave your clients with take-home products to maintain their colour.

Below is a list of key services that can be done in 30 minutes or less- and some super express 10 minute colour refresh treatments to keep your clients' colour fresh until their next full service.

How To Colour/Blend Grey hair with Evo Fab Pro

Step 1: Wash hair twice with Normal Persons shampoo.

Step 2: Towel dry the hair well, comb through with a wide tooth comb.

Step 3: Section the hair into 4 quadrants (down the centre to nape, ear to ear).

Step 4: Depending on the tone of the hair take the appropriate shade either off your Mixology Shade Guide under  “Naturals” or cool naturals:

  • For darker levels 5-4 level: 17g Chocolate, 3g of Black.
  • For level 3-1: 10g Chocolate, 10g Black.
  • For warmer bases add some Orange.

Step 5: Apply to the roots using cobweb sections to the front two quadrants first, followed by the back quadrants.

Step 6: Leave for 15 minutes.

Step 7: If you wish to refresh the ends take through for the last 5 to 10 mins. Please take into consideration what the tones and levels are through the mids and ends then pick the appropriate Fab Pro tone.

Step 8: Rinse at the basin and condition if needed.

Step 9: Use styling product of choice and dry hair on medium heat.

Step 10: Send the client home with Fab Pro as a refresher service at home.

 

How To Colour/Blend Grey hair with Evo Fabuloso

Step 1: Wash hair twice with Normal Persons shampoo.

Step 2: Towel dry the well, comb thru with a wide tail comb.

Step 3: Section the hair into 4 quadrants (down the centre to nape, ear to ear).

Step 4: Depending on the tone of the hair take the appropriate shade of Fabuloso.

  • For naturals on a 7 to 5 level we would recommend cool brown.
  • For naturals above a 7 level use 2 parts cool brown to 1 part conditioner or Caramel Fabuloso.
  • For levels darker than a 5 if you have “Black Fab Pro” please add into your Cool Brown. Mix. Mixation 5-4 level:-  17g Cool Brown, 3g of Black 3-1 level:- 10g Cool Brown, 10g Black
  • For warmer bases use Chestnut.

Step 5: Apply to the roots using cobweb sections to the front two quadrants first, followed by the back quadrants.

Step 6: Leave for 15 minutes.

Step 7: If you wish to refresh the ends take thru for the last 5 to 10 mins.

Please take into consideration what the tones and levels are through the mids and ends then pick the appropriate Fabuloso or Fab Pro tone.

Step 8: Rinse at the basin and condition if needed.

Step 9: Use styling product of choice and dry hair on a medium heat.

Step 10: Send the client home with Fab Pro as a refresher service at home.

Grey coverage - LAKMÉ Chroma 10minute Root colour

Step 1: Consult the clients true base, use Colour chart to emphatically colour match the hairs level 1-10 that visually appears on the mid lengths and ends.

Step 2: Mix Chroma Base colour_ ?/00 to match the desired level of colour (match the mids) or slightly darker than mid-lengths if there is fade.

  • Example 30g 5/00 + 30g 18vol ensure plenty of product is used
  • If hair very grey resistant 25g 5/00 + 5g 4/00 + 30g 18vol
  • On completion of root application mix 7g K.Blonde Pearl + 7g Gloss 0/00 + 28g Purple developer _ for quick polish glossy finish
  • Or saturate ends Olaplex No.2
  • Or select Fabpro matching colour for ends quick refresh

Step 3: Develop 10minutes all up.

Step 4: Rinse light shampoo, use straight fab pro pigment as the conditioner to lock in colour.

Step 5: Make the Fabpro matching home maintenance conditioner to help reduce fade time.

Step 6: Blast dry, Iron top layer to polish.

 

LAKMÉ Chroma 10 minute Express Fashion Blend -  Blondes to Bronde

Step 1: Consult the clients true base, use Colour chart to emphatically colour match the hairs level 1-10 that visually appears on the mid lengths and ends.

Step 2: Select a level 7 or 8.

Step 3: Example mixes for beautiful blending of blondes to soft low maintenance tones:

  • Chroma Golden Honey 20g 7/30 + 20g 9/36 + 80g Chroma 6vol (less for shorter hair)
  • Chroma Desert Cool Blonde 20g 9/60 + 20G 7/60 + 80g Chroma 6vol (less for shorter hair)
  • Chroma Light Beige 20g 8/17 +20g 8/32 + 80g Chroma 6vol (less for shorter hair)
  • Chroma Soft Honey 20g 7/30 + 20g 7/17 + 80g Chroma 6vol (less for shorter hair)

Step 4: Apply to complete head saturating mid lengths and ends before applying to roots.

Step 5: Develop 10 minutes all up.

Step 6: Rinse light shampoo, use straight Fab Pro pigment (select tone from fabpro chart) as the conditioner to lock in colour.

Step 7: Make the Fab Pro matching home maintenance conditioner for minimal fade.

Step 8: Blast dry, Iron top layer to polish.

 

10 minute express in-salon colours Express Blonde Toning and Blowdry

Step 1: Spray hair with Lakmé Care lotion or Porosity Equaliser

Step 2: Mix 15g K.Blonde Pearl + 15g Gloss 0/00 + 60g Purple developer.

Step 3: Apply to complete head saturating mid-lengths and ends before applying to roots.

Step 4: Develop for 5 minutes.

Step 5: Rinse, light palm shampoo, condition with Fabuloso or Fabpro Platinum for polish and maximum tone.

Step 6: Blast dry, iron to complete.

Step 7: Make the Fab Pro matching home maintenance conditioner for the minimal fade.

Step 8: Blast dry, Iron top layer to polish.
