Where are we going?
We are returning to wonderful Barcelona in Spain where we will stay for 3 days whilst taking in some education and cultural sites, before embarking on a Virgin Voyages Cruise for 7 nights! This cruise will take us to Marseilles in France, Cannes in France, then back to Spain stopping in Mallorca, and Ibiza! This cruise is called French Daze and Ibiza Nights and we will be doing additional education on board and at some of the stops.
When are we going?
Thursday May 11th through to Sunday May 21st, 2023.
When is the latest arrival and earliest departure?
Ideally you would arrive at some point on Thursday 11th May, in time for a casual evening get together. The earliest departure would be mid-afternoon of Sunday 21st May. You may wish to consider coming in a day early at your own expense if you are concerned about flight punctuality. We may be able to assist in organising accommodation if need be. The cruise leaves Barcelona on Sunday 14th May.
What happens if I miss the early bird pricing?
Haircare Group will endeavour to get a room on the ship; however, we cannot guarantee the same price and room type will be available as we move closer to the departure date.
What will the pricing be if I miss early bird?
We will need to reprice the ticket cost as the cruise costs are subject to change. Therefore, our recommendation is to book and secure the current pricing as soon as possible.
How do I qualify to attend?
You must have a Haircare Group Sales Account Manager (including Telesales).
Suggested experience level: Business Owners, Salon Managers, Senior Colourists and Stylists (5+ years industry experience).
Can my life partner come?
Your DeFacto or spouse can be considered on application to Haircare Group, as this is very much a Hair Industry Study Tour and as such the price includes not only accommodation, tours, but also education. As places are limited, we can’t tailor the cost any further than to offer a partner cost of $8,490+ GST and this includes sharing a hotel room and Cabin.
Can my business partner and I share a room?
We do not offer this as we find that since it is for 10 days and nights, people need their space in order to get the most out of the experience.
What kind of cabin will I have?
You will have a Sea Terrace Cabin on the Valiant Lady ship.
Do I need travel Insurance?
Yes, you will need to organise your own travel insurance, including coverage for COVID 19.
Do I need to be vaccinated?
The ship has a small provision for unvaccinated customers, we would need to enquire on your behalf to see if this quota is full or not. Please note it will be your responsibility to check Government notifications for both vaccination and testing requirements for all countries.

Who books my flights?
You will need to book your flights; we recommend doing so as soon as you book your Study Tour Ticket to avoid high prices. Tour begins and ends in Barcelona.
Do we stay on the ship or hotels?
For the first 3 nights you will be staying in Barcelona in a 4 Star Hotel. On the rest of the nights, you will be accommodated in your Cabin on board the ship, even if we are staying overnight in a port.
Will all our meals be on the ship?
Once we embark on the ship, the majority of the meals will be onboard, with 20+ eateries there is plenty to choose from and it is all inclusive. We will endeavour get our group together for dinners where possible.
Do we have free time?
Yes, there will be some free time in both Barcelona as well as onboard the ship and at some of the ports.
Can I bring my children?
The cruise does not allow for children, it is an 18+ cruise.
What brands are represented?
We will have several world class brands from our portfolio showcasing during this event. We are excited to share this with you closer to the date!
What is the format of the education sessions?
The education sessions will be ‘look and learn’.
Do I need to bring a toolkit?
As we will be doing ‘look and learn’ sessions, you will not need your own toolkit.
What if I don’t use any of your colour brands?
At least 1 day of the education offering will be based on our colour brands. Please speak to your Sales Account Manager to see how we can tailor your education offering.
When will I get my finalised agenda?
We are working to produce the most exciting agenda possible; we will distribute this closer to departure date.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Unfortunately, we do not have any refunds as we need to cover our costs for your place, however, should we have a wait list, we will be happy to see if we can place someone in your spot.
I get seasick, what should I do?
We recommend coming equipped with some sea sickness prevention treatments. There is of course a doctor on board. The Mediterranean is usually quite calm; however, we do recommend you make your own decision here based on what you are comfortable with.
What is the weather like at that time?
The weather for the same week this year was between 22°C and 30°C
How many people are going?
Our tickets are limited at this stage due to education offerings. Final numbers are expected to be between 30-50 people.
I am a smoker, can I smoke on the ship?
Yes, there are designated areas on board for smokers and vapers. Smoking and vaping in rooms are prohibited.
I want to be in a room near my friends or colleagues – is this possible?
Let us know when securing your place, and we will do what we can subject to availability. We cannot guarantee this.
What should I pack?
Closer to the time we will correspond with you with some packing suggestions to suit our itinerary.
When is the last day I can change the name of the person I have booked a ticket for, I am offering it as an incentive to my staff?

What are the cultural activities?
We are working to produce the most exciting agenda possible including cultural activities. We will distribute this closer to departure date.
Will the Ship Crew be vaccinated against Covid?
Yes, they are.
What if I want to upgrade my room?
Upgrades are available but will need to be costed at the time of booking. At this point in time it would be in the vicinity of $6.5K more per person on top of the ticket price.
Are reservations for the Wellness Spa onboard the Valiant Lady included?
Access to the Wellness Spa is available by booking at your expense, this is not included in the price of your Haircare Group Study Tour ticket.
Do I need to tip cruise staff?
No your tips are included.
