10 Ways to Set Your Year Up for Success

Make 2024 your year!


The first month of the year is one of our favourites. It signifies a fresh start, the opportunity to set new goals and reset the mind and body for the year ahead.  To help you prep for 2024 it’s important to reflect on the year that was. Write down your favourite parts of 2023, what was successful and what you would like to improve on. 
With 2024 being the Year of the Dragon, power, confidence and luck might just be on your side! However, if you prefer to make your own luck, follow our foolproof steps to setting your year up for success. 

1. GOALS, GOALS, GOALS 

Define what it is that you’d like to achieve in 2024 and write this list down. Whether it’s pen to paper or notes in your phone, it’s helpful to see your words and desires. Our tip? Refer to this list often, to keep your goals top of mind. 

2. BUSINESS HEALTH CHECK 

As a business owner, a business health check is vital to the success and every day running of your salon. Make time to set yours up for the year, then schedule quarterly check-ins with your Haircare Group Sales Account Manager, if possible, to talk these through and keep your goals accountable.  

3. CREATE A CONTINUOUS LEARNING PLAN

Start your year off with some extra skills and invest in your salon team via the Haircare Group 2024 Education program. 4. ORGANISE AND ANALYSE YOUR INVENTORY

5. MARKETING STOCKTAKE 

The start of the year is a chance to review your marketing materials and efforts for the year ahead. Check that your trading hours are correct on Google, queue up some social content for those ‘too busy to post’ days and re-visit your website, making sure imagery and details are exciting. 

6. PROPOSE YOUR PROMOTIONs

Look at the year ahead and strategise your yearly promotions. Identify key moments like Mother’s Day, Black Friday, wedding season and Christmas – these are all higher traffic times in salon and offer retail opportunities with gifting. Work with your Sales Account Manager to plan your promotions for 2024. 

7. PROOF YOUR PROCESSES
