Suavecito has officially risen in Tommy Guns Barbershops Australia-wide.
The always innovative team challenged their barbers to create a range of Southern California looks to celebrate the launch, with the winning cuts and styles chosen by the Suavecito founders themselves. The talented team at Garden City located in Queensland rose to the occasion, taking out the top spot through their collection of looks in ode to The OG’s. The looks created included the classic slick-back which originally rose in popularity among the youth in the 1920s and was adopted by the Greasers in the 1950s. The iconic hairstyle has since been replicated in movies such as Grease and more recently in the popular series Peaky Blinders.
Whilst the classic slick-back may not be as common today in Australia, the concept can be utilised as we can see with the inclusion of a less structured take on the style. For those looking for a more casual style, the Garden City team highlighted the versatility of the Suavecito products with the same pomade and grooming spray used to create the below two looks.
