WHAT IS OLAPLEX?

What are Disulfide Bonds? 

Disulfide Bonds are present in all three main parts of the hair — the cuticle, the cortex and the medulla. The overall hair’s internal structure resembles ladders that twist into a multi-fibre-like cable structure called microfibrils. When healthy and strong, the ‘cables’ maintain alignment, they end up resisting being twisted and warped out of shape due to being held together by the defence of the disulfide bonds. Basically, when the bonds are healthy and strong, so is the hair. 

What can cause broken hair bonds? 

Split ends, frizz, lack-lustre colour, thinning and dryness can all contribute to broken disulfide bonds. Here are some of the reasons why your hair bonds can become worn and broken: 

Chemical Services: Bleaching services, direct dye and colour, lighteners, perms, relaxers, and keratin treatments.  

Heat Styling: Using flat irons, straighteners, curling irons, and blow dryers at high temperatures. 

Mechanical Damage: Brushing hair, tugging, styling with tight accessories, and pulling on wet hair are a contributor to broken hair bonds. 

Environmental Damage: Exposure from UV, any kind of humidity, dehydration from hot and dry weather conditions, and air pollution.

How to use LASHBOND:

1. Use twice daily, AM and PM, on clean dry skin
2. Dip the brush 1x and apply to the skin along the upper lash line of both eyes
3. Let dry for 90 seconds. Don’t wash off
   
   

OLAPLEX No.0 INTENSIVE BOND BUILDING HAIR TREATMENT  

Built upon the same restorative principles as the professional OLAPLEX system, the No.0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment acts as the first step to prime hair in a two-part system with the No.3 Hair Perfector (sold separately). When used together, No.0 and No.3 are scientifically proven to provide 68% more repair and make hair 3x stronger! Perfect for damaged or chemically processed hair. 

How to use No.0: 

1. Apply No.0 to dry, sectioned hair 
2. Saturate each section thoroughly 
3. Leave to process for a minimum of 10 minutes 
4. Do not rinse out 
5. Apply No.3 on top of No.0 
6. Leave for another 10 minutes 
7. Rinse, shampoo, and condition with No.4 & No.5 
   

OLAPLEX No.3 HAIR PERFECTOR®  

As part of the Treat category, OLAPLEX No. 3 Hair Perfector dramatically improves hair health, texture and strength. A treatment that can be used in-salon and at-home, the OLAPLEX No. 3 Hair Perfector contains the same active ingredient as the entire OLAPLEX professional salon system.  

How to use No.3:

1. Apply a generous amount of No.3 to damp, towel dried hair
2. Comb through and leave to process for a minimum of 10 minutes 
3. Rinse from hair then continue with No.4 & No.5 
4. For best results, prime hair with No.0 for deep hair repair 
   
   

OLAPLEX No.8 BOND INTENSE MOISTURE MASK 

The No.8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask is a highly concentrated leave-in moisture mask that adds shine and body while repairing and hydrating textured and damaged hair. For best results, use alongside the No.0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment and No.3 Hair Perfector, once a week.  

How to use No.8 

1. Apply No.8 to freshly washed, damp hair from mid lengths to ends 
2. Start with 2 pumps for shoulder length hair 
3. Use more for longer hair, less for shorter or fine hair 
4. Use sparingly on the roots 
5. Work through with fingers and leave-in for 10 minutes minimum 
6. Rinse and style as needed

How to use No.4C:

1. Use No.4C once a week for a deep-clean 
2. Wait at least 2 weeks if there’s been a recent keratin treatment or colour applied

How to use No.6:

1. Apply No.6 from mid-lengths to ends on damp hair 
2. Start with ½ pump for shoulder length hair. Use more for long, thick hair or less for fine, short hair.
