We loved the looks that Moroccanoil artistic director Kevin Hughes designed and created for New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2020.

From the whimsical Cynthia Rowley look, the Sixties vibe of the Veronica Beard presentation, to the Moulin Rouge-inspired style for The Blonds, each look was unique, wearable and most importantly – easy to replicate. Seeing as we couldn’t decide on our favourite, we’ve highlighted a step-by-step guide for each below, so you can create these three amazing looks!  Which is your favourite?

“The show is centered around the idea of travel, adventure, diversity and paid a special tribute to Dr Seuss’ iconic ‘Oh! The Places You’ll Go,” said Kevin Hughes, Moroccanoil Artistic Director. “We wanted to create a look that stayed true to the whimsical Dr Seuss style with hair that had a lot of volume, bounce and movement.”

Follow these simple step-by-steps to get the look below

Step 1: On damp hair, use a dime size amount of Moroccanoil Treatment –or Moroccanoil Treatment Light for finer tones—to provide the perfect foundation for styling.

Step 2: Spray Moroccanoil Perfect Defense throughout the hair to protect before heat styling.

Step 3: Create a centre part and generously apply Moroccanoil Smoothing Lotion through the top area of the hair, stopping at ears length.

Step 4: Next, clip top area of hair down and spray Moroccanoil Dry Texture throughout the bottom of hair.

Step 5: Take hair in 1” sections and tease each section using a Teasing Comb.

Step 6: After teasing each section of hair use a Curling Iron to create subtle waves in the hair.

Step 7: Brush out waves with the Moroccanoil Ceramic Paddle Brush, once the style is final and cooled down.

Step 8: Finish and secure the look with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong.

“We stayed in tune with the collection's Sixties vibe for the hair, with tons of volume at the crown that falls into a perfectly undone and textured body. A deep side part and full swept bang really homed in on the theme,” said Kevin Hughes, Moroccanoil Artistic Director. “The hair is meant to embrace each woman’s natural texture – straight, wavy or curly.”

Follow these simple step-by-steps to get the look

Step 4: Create a deep side part and a sweeping bang in front of the face adding volume throughout the hair.

Step 5: Create broken S-waves throughout hair, expect the front bang, using a straightener.

Step 6: Only at the back of the root use a crimping iron to create lift and volume at the crown.

Step 7: Next use, Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray through the hair and back comb the crown area, using a teasing comb.
